God has blessed me with a godly mother who always took me to church and taught me the difference between right and wrong. She has consistently set a good example for me and helped me to know the ways of the Lord. My mother is now 90 years old and lives with us. God has allowed my mother to have a long and fruitful life. She is blessed.
These verses describe a woman who always provides godly instruction and is constantly working to take care of her husband and children. The term “sons” is sometimes interpreted as “children”. A woman is truly blessed when her children recognize how fortunate they are to have a godly mother and they rise up and call her blessed. Even her husband sings her praises.
Challenge: If your mother is still living, take the opportunity to tell her how blessed you are to have her as your mother. Tell her what you appreciate about her and how she has influenced your life. If you are married, make a list of the many ways your wife is a blessing to you and then give the list to her. Praise her for all she does for you and your family. Thank God for your mother and for your wife.
