When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13 HCSB
The movie “God’s Not Dead” is a wonderful movie that boldly presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The movie is about a Christian evangelical college student who challenges his professor who declares that God does not exist. The sequel “God’s Not Dead 2” is now at movie theaters. This sequel is about a a junior high-school teacher who faces an epic court case that could end her career after answering a student’s question about Jesus. In both movies, Christians are required to defend their beliefs.
When Peter and John were required to defend their actions, they boldly proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The religious leaders recognized that even though Peter and John had no formal education or training, the responses they gave were indicative of them having spent time with Jesus, the Master Teacher. The religious leaders recognized in Peter and John the same threat they had seen in Jesus. They had killed Jesus but they had not killed the message. The message is still alive and well and lives on through believers today.
