Is God Pleased With You?

“I wish one of you would shut the temple doors, so you would no longer kindle a useless fire on My altar! I am not pleased with you,” says the Lord of Hosts, “and I will accept no offering from you hands.” Malachi 1:10 HCSB

God has blessed me with four wonderful children, each of whom I am very proud. I have had the privilege of baptizing all four of them and have officiated at the wedding ceremony for three. This September I will have the honor of officiating at the marriage of my fourth child. I am proud to call them my children and they represent the Moore family well.

The priests were responsible for representing God and His character. By accepting imperfect sacrifices, they were leading the people to believe that these sacrifices were acceptable to God. God was not pleased with the priests. Just as my children represent the Moore family, as Christians and children of God we represent God. We reflect God, His character, and His attitudes to those we encounter each day.

Challenge: What image of God do others see in you? Do you casually accept sin in your life like the priests did with imperfect sacrifices? Is God pleased with you? Pray that you will be an ambassador for Christ and be a positive representative of God each day.
