Confession of Faith

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die – ever. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she told Him, “I believe You are the Messiah, the Son of God, who comes into the world.” John 11:25-27 HCSB

I made my confession of faith in Jesus Christ when I was 10 years old. Each person is given a choice to reject or confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. That confession will determine where one spends eternity.

Martha, which means “lady of the house,” was known as being the one who was too busy to spend time with the Lord. She was known as being the busy hostess, preparing the food and making sure everything was done properly and in a timely fashion. In these verses we see the other side of Martha when she makes a statement of faith. She loved the Lord and believed He was the Messiah, the Son of God.

Challenge: God desires the same confession of faith from each of us. Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Never become so busy that you miss spending time with your Savior.
